DIRTY DOZEN BRASS BAND

This is in English, for my American friends. Went to see the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, yesterday here in Brussels. Had great fun, dancing and singing songs of joy, like I’ll Fly Away. I don’t believe in the ‘sweet lord’ but the spirit was in the house and moved us all. The spirit and the soul. It was as if we were back in good old New Orleans watching Eddie Bo performing in a bar on Decatur Street. And then when the Dirty Dozen Brass Band played the last song, Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans, I had tears in my eyes, once again. I don’t know what to call it? A happy sad voodoo concert?

Commentaren

marlon.
